ABA Therapy

What is Applied Behavior Analysis?

Applied behavior analysis is a scientifically validated technique used to better understand behavior and how it is affected by a person’s environment. Methods of behavior analysis have helped children and adults on the Autism Spectrum develop essential skills such as language, communication and social interaction. It has been used since the 1960’s to help bring about positive behavior changes in individuals who have autism, down syndrome, or other types developmental delays.

ABA is a highly sought out service because:

  • It encourages social behavior by focusing on initiating interactions and rewarding appropriate social behavior.
  • It has been endorsed by many State and Federal Agencies
  • It can foster basic communicative skills such as listening, looking, and imitating peers.

We are eager to help you and your family and want to make sure you are informed and acquainted  with our approach towards treatment.  Are you unsure if ABA is right for your child? Please call our office at (956) 627-4413 to learn more about ABA and our behavioral programs.
